Health & Safety Measures

Dear guests,
We would like to inform you that the Royal Olympic Hotel follows all hygiene and cleanliness protocols as defined by the National Health Organization and the Ministry of Tourism. The hygiene measures described below aim to minimize the risk of infection, ensuring the safety of our guests and staff daily. Τhe strict implementation of health protocols will allow us to operate safely, offering our guests a pleasant and safe experience while staying with us.

Kindly note that the Royal Olympic Hotel is one of the very few hotels in Athens that has the swimming pool garden at the centre of it’s lobby and in front of the main entrance. This enables us to get plenty of fresh air from the patio.

In addition to the above our central air conditioning system does not recycle the existing air but only brings nonstop fresh air from the roof top to the public areas.

Front Desk

-Installation of protective plexi glass.
-Frequent disinfection in all exposed surfaces at the reception desk.
-Room cards and keys will be sanitized regularly by UV ray device.
-Hand sanitizer station available next to the reception.
-Floor signage to maintain distancing norms of 2m.
Public Areas 

Increased cleaning and disinfection across all high-volume contact/touch points and all exposed surfaces with an emphasis on front desk, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, rest rooms, stair handrails and seating areas.
Regular disinfection of the hotel elevators takes place, at least three times per hour, with the introduction of a limit on the number of people using it at 2 people.
Guest Rooms

Regular cleaning and disinfection in all guest rooms and bathrooms using recommended disinfectant. 
Used bed linen and towels will be washed at a minimum of 70˚C, while rooms will be ventilated after each evacuation for 24 hours.
All paper amenities such as pens & papers, magazines etc, have been removed and will be available upon request.
Unused disposable items are discarded.
All fabric surfaces are cleaned either by steam device at a temperature of at least 70˚C or by UV ray device.
Restaurant and Bars

High standards of food safety and hygiene, as well as a strict hygiene protocol for our team staff will be followed. 
All restaurants’ surfaces & furniture will be disinfected after each service.
Seating capacity is reduced since distance between tables has been increased in accordance to the regulations.
Room service for guests is available till 11:30pm
Swimming pool

Sitting areas will be disinfected after each service.
The lounge chairs around the swimming pool will be in-group of 2 and at least 2 meters away from each other. 
Frequent measurements to control its chlorine levels, pH control, water change.
Air-conditioning & ventilation

All fan coils and ventilation units are thoroughly disinfected on a very regular basis.
